Today we are sharing this delightful dish that is the Greenbeans and Potatoes, straight from Mauritius to your Kitchen this dish is so simple yet so tasty and can be eaten with anything! Please let us know if you try it out!
Ingredients:
1 onion sliced thinly
3 or 4 sprigs of fresh Thyme
1 tsp of salt
1 tomato
1 packet of green beans (sliced through the middle length wise)
2 medium potatoes cut into small cubes
3 garlic cloves grated
half an inch of fresh ginger grated
1 tsp cumin powder
Method:
In a frying pan heat 2 tbsp of oil and fry the onions on medium heat until translucent, next add the grated ginger and garlic, fresh thyme and 1 diced tomato, let this fry for a few minutes.
Next add the cumin powder mix and lastly add the greenbeans, potatos and salt mix well turn the heat to low cover and cook until potatos are soft, stir in between if it looks a little dry add 3 tbsp of water and mix. Enjoy! x
